Where is design going?
The future of design much like retail will be about amplifying local and regional design that is authentic and meaningful to place, culture, ecology, climate and region.
How can design education be more relevant?
There is an emphasis to be avant garde within the design school. The lessons of the traditional city planning, regional appropriate design, contextual sensitivity and local environmental influences seems to be missing in architectural education within the design school at ASU.
What are the future skillsets designers need to learn now?

What should a design school do to prepare students for transdisciplinary work?
– Presentation skills
What should a design school do to forward equity and inclusion?
The design school at ASU is too expensive. Some designers are skipping school all together. The education has become expensive. The alternative education that some are seeking are design education from the streets.
